HerStory Revealed w/Kevinekia Lyons

HerStoryMag: Where were you born and raised?

Kevinekia: New Orleans, LA at Charity Hospital

HerStoryMag: Do you have siblings? If so, how many?

Kevinekia: Yes, just one sister that I know of and she is amazing!

HerStoryMag: What do you remember the most about your childhood?

Kevinekia: I remember my grandmother instilling in me that clothes and shoes are simply material things and that I actually had everything that I needed and that was above all I am loved.

HerStoryMag:What excites you right now?

Kevinekia: God's hands and promise on my life and the lives of whomever I touch

HerStoryMag: What book has influenced you the most?

Kevinekia: Whew at this moment "Power of Focus"

HerStoryMag: If you could do anything you wanted tonight (go anywhere, for any amount of money), what would you do and why?

Kevinekia: I really have traveled a lot but home is truly where my heart is. This would cost me less than $5 actually. I would go to the farmers market and find the reddest, juiciest steak tomato and cut it up, season with black pepper, sea salt and a little mayo and serve it up for me and granny. ( just to see her toes wiggle) Country girl at heart

HerStoryMag: If you had the opportunity to meet one person you haven't met, who would it be, why, and what would you talk about?

Kevinekia: Wow, it would have to be the world known Dr. Sebi. Knowing just alittle about his work I see now that we are using food incorrectly. Food should be our medicine that was created to heal our bodies. I would ask him for his perspective on life and how as people we've come so far but we are still lost on how to truly heal.

HerStoryMag: What do you value more, intelligence or common sense?

Kevinekia: Definitely loyalty and honesty for me

HerStoryMag: What movie is your favorite guilty pleasure, and why?

Kevinekia: ( so embarrassing) I literally watch "Little Shop of Horror '' as if I haven't a million times.

HerStoryMag: What is your "WHY"?

Kevinekia: My why is for the little in me that never felt she would ever be good enough to love or be loved. A part of my way is because I am an adult now and I can create my own narrative. My why is because hell WHY NOT!.. My Why is because I have this one shot at life and I am gonna take that shot for myself EVERY SINGLE TIME

HerStoryMag: Where did you get the idea for your business/brand/career?

Kevinekia: My business has been around since Noah's Ark lol. It's Travel! This business opportunity was actually sent to me by GOD. I didn't know that in 2020 my life would be turned upside down. Our family unit was struck by sickness. I had started my business in 2018 and just two short years later my grandmother took sick, but the world didn't stop around me. One thing you don't want to be concerned about when a loved one is ill is money! Because I invested time on the front end and built those relationships earning my money even though I was able to touch my business is what aided in keepy my family afloat.

HerStoryMag: What is the most rewarding part about being an entrepreneur?

Kevinekia: Getting those text messages or emails expressing thanks and gratitude for all the coaching and mentoring into receiving those commas checks

HerStoryMag: What advice would you give yourself before you started this company?

Kevinekia: Believe and stand by your brand. Provide an experience not just customer service. Don't change your prices for anyone. Compete but never compare.

HerStoryMag: What are your superpowers?

Kevinekia: It's definitely the spirit of love placed in me. I am a natural born giver as most women are. I am definitely courageous and calm during a storm

HerStoryMag: How much has knowing your purpose attributed to your success?

Kevinekia: Knowing your purpose is huge!! It's almost as if all things GOD were aligned just waiting for my arrival. Knowing my purpose I am able to walk anywhere knowing my worth. Others that also walk in their purpose are drawn to my light as well. Knowing my purpose doesn't allow me to settle for less.
